Alabama Shakes @ The Fox Theater 8.10.12

I can honestly say that this show actually distracted me from my job more than a few times! Brittany’s playing struck me with awe so often that I found myself putting my camera down and completely forgot I was working, which is no easy feat for this photo nerd. For the rest of this series click here, Hey Reverb. She just rocks. Definitely go see this band if you get the chance!

Juliette Lewis @ The Fox

I was kissed by Juliette Lewis at this concert. It brought me a moment of pure relief from an otherwise shitty day. Thanks Juliette. Hipster's Sweat with Savoy @ The Fox Theater

Imogen Heap @ The Fox Theater 11.16.2009

I went with one of my dearest friends, Vera, to Imogen Heap on Saturday night at The Fox Theater in Boulder for an early show. Besides her obvious musical talent; jumping from created instruments, to piano to her digital switch board and computer, the set felt like a mixture of 1960’s Happenings, performance art and theater. She involved the audience creating  an a cappella-electronica influenced song singing in loops. She was dynamic, always in tune with the song, aware of her audience’s enthusiasm and playing with them with English wit and sweetness. I love finding inspiration from artists who live and breathe their create. Imogen’s passion was illuminating the intimate room packed with people who were invested in her creation. It was a beautiful experience to have been a part of. You can find more of  them  @ Denver Post Reverb by clicking here: Imogen Heap @ The Fox
